VISA INFORMATION FOR INTERNATIONAL ATTENDEES TO ENTER CANADA
U.S. citizens must carry proper identification such as a valid U.S. passport. Please remember to renew your passport! The U.S. Passport Office estimates it may take up to 12 weeks to process and receive your updated passport. The Canadian government also strongly recommends that your passport is valid for at least six months prior to your entry into Canada to avoid any potential problems.
All other nationals, please visit Canadian entry requirements page for the latest needs. Most importantly, you must APPLY EARLY for a visa, as processing time has increased in some instances. If you need a written invitation to assist you with your visa, please email the SAGES Registrar, registration@sages.org, with your name, title, institution, and complete physical mailing address for each request.
COVID-19 INFORMATION
SAGES recognizes that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a big impact on surgical practice and in surgeon wellness, and uncertainty of travel at this time. SAGES continues to closely monitor COVID-19 Guidelines as the health and safety of our conference attendees is our highest priority. SAGES is monitoring the guidance related to COVID-19 from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Canada Government Guidelines in addition to the convention center and hotels guidelines for guests. SAGES is committed to taking appropriate precautions to provide a safe environment that does not place conference attendees at undue risk. We will adjust protocol, if needed, in order to meet Canada’s requirements as the spring meeting approaches.
All attendees, faculty, exhibitors and staff are encouraged to be vaccinated. Anyone exhibiting symptoms should refrain from attending the meeting and/or contact SAGES staff for testing information.
